Coutrallam Waterfalls


Courtallam is the admirable place that exists in the district of Tirunelveli of Tamil Nadu state. The Coutrallam Mountain follows the Western Ghats and water flows from the height of one hundred and seventy meters high. Taking bath in this cascade seems to be the thrilling monuments in one’s life.  

This place is highly believed that Saga Agastheyar has send to this place to avert the imbalance owing to the crowd gathered for the Kailas wedding by Lord Shiva. There is one famous temple that dedicated to the Lord Shiva named here as Thirukutralanathar. The pillars in this temple are occupied by the history of Chola and Pandya emperors.   

There is another temple that located near to this temple is Chitra Sabha. This name symbolizes the pictures that completely occupy the hall. And this temple is dedicated for the God Shiva and painted with lots and lots of religious events. This Sabha is named under the list of one of the five Sabhas of God Nataraja, the god who performed the cosmic dance.
