Hindu Temple of Ottawa-Carleton


The fabulous temple has been constructed with full divinity aura in the regions of Ottawa-Carleton in the Gloucester part of Ottawa. The foundation has been broken for the initial Hindu temple in Eastern Ontario in the years of 1985. The temple is situated on Bank Avenue at the rural region to the south of urban Ottawa and also from the south east of the airport.

The ground for the temple has been obtained in the year of 1984. Nearly four dollars were used to construct the Hindu temple at Canada by their citizens itself.  This divine shrine has been unveiled in the year of 1989. It has calculated that nearly six thousands of living in the region of Ottawa. The other faces of this temple are listed as acting as a community and cultural centre for the community with halls, libraries, and further assets. 

There are so many shrines in this temple some of which includes: Ganesha, Kartikeya, Krishna with Radha, Shiva, Lakshmi with Narayana, Rama with Sita and Lakshmana with Hanuman, Durga, Hanuman, and Nataraja. The full effort to construct this temple is whole heartily done by the Pandit Madhu Sahasrabudhe. 
He was the food science researcher and also previously served as the priest since from the year of 1960. Sahasrabudhe has passed away in the year of 2004 in United States.

This shrine has been constructed with the full architectural designs by the world famed artist. Especially this shrine comprises the Indian architectural styles and also cold and weight snow accumulation.
