Jain Temples are the prettiest and well maintained in India. The Babu Amichand Panalal Adishwarji Jain Temple is the prettiest temple in Mumbai. The Jain Temple in Mumbai was built on 1904. The members of the Jain community are peace lovers. Jains pours lot of money in the construction and maintenance of the temple.
The downstairs of the temple houses an array of deities and saints including an image of Lord Ganesh that recalls the historical links between Hinduism and Jainism. The dome ceiling is painted with the signs of the Zodiac.
This is a nice place to visit if you are looking for some spiritual quiet time. The best time to visit is early in the morning. Shouting is not allowed inside the temple. The Gautama Buddha statues and Holy Book add attraction to this place.
Two elephants brilliantly made out of stone are placed on both the sides of the main gate in the Jain temple. Jains take great care not to kill even an insect.
For all the tourists in Mumbai, visiting the Jain Temple is a must.
