SivaSamudram falls in Bangalore

It is located at a distance of 27 km from somanathapura and 80 km from Mysore. It is the second biggest waterfall in India and the sixteenth largest in the world. The spectacular waterfalls are surrounded by the hill forests of the kaveri wild life sanctuary.

The time of best flow is the monsoon season of July to October. The only drawback is the distance from the city. It is advisable to go on weekday to avoid crowd. The other two waterfalls are Gagankuchi and Barrakuchi. It is a good place for a day visit. You should carry food and umbrella to this place. Local Tourist rush here on weekends.

The cool climate and the waterfalls make it a best place to visit in summer. There is a temple nearby the falls. People who are religious visit after a bath in the falls. For outsiders it is a best place to consider when you visit India.
