The world famed Sripuram Golden Shrine is golden divine place located at the end of the Vellore District of Tamil Nadu. The significant aspect of Sripuram is the Lakshmi Narayani temple or also entitled as Mahalakshmi temple.
The entire temple including temple Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam has been covered with Gold completely. The temple is constructed on hundred acres of ground and has been assembled by Vellore Sri Narayani Peedam, the spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma also notorious as Narayani Amma.
The holy place with gold covering has elaborate carvings and sculptures in gold. The illumination is agreed in such a way that the shrine glitters in night time.
The temple is raised in the year 2007. Not less than thousands five hundred kilograms (1.5 tone) of gold has used to construct this temple.
Sripuram drawing symbolizes a star-shaped path. The LED illumination on the edge of the top of the star path is lit up during night so that one can feel a star on the earth.Devotees have to walk on the star path to attain the temple in the middle that lay by lots and lots of messages from Sri Sakthi Amma and from different faiths and spiritual leaders.
