The biggest Roman Catholic Church located in Nagercoil, the capital of Kanyakumari district, is St. Xavier Church. Saint Xavier is doing the missionary work in the regions of Kanyakumari district. Again in 1930CE, Saint Xavier church was lift up to the status of a Cathedral. Each year the annual festival is celebrated throughout November to December lasting for 10 days.
